Google Adwords: Ruth Blew Over $3,500 in 30 Days - Yikes!

You see that picture? That's how a lot of people feel advertising with Google Adwords. Here is a case in point.

One evening I received a phone call from one of my subscribers. Her name was Ruth. She called me to ask some questions about one of the programs I was promoting and how it could help her with marketing a business opportunity that she was promoting.

During the conversation, I learned that Ruth was very frustrated, almost to the point of tears. Ruth had just blown $3,500 on Google Adwords ads with absolutely no results.

Ruth was not computer savvy. She had a niece set up her Google Adwords campaign. Here is what Ruth's niece did. She picked a whole bunch of popular home business related keyword phrases such "work from home", "make money", "home based business" etc. She wrote a few catchy ads that would appear if anyone did searches with the keyword phrases that she picked. That seems logical but, after 30 day, Ruth was over $3,500 in the red! What went wroing?
