EDC Gold: Why Is It Better...

A long-time subscriber of mine sent me this note a couple of days ago. He asked a very good question that I felt was so important, I decided to post it here along with my answer.

I'll start by saying that EDC Gold is not better than the other programs. Too many people make the mistake of jumping from program to program believing that they will eventually find the program that is better than all the rest and they'll get rich!

This is a false and dangerous misconception that leads to failure.

The three most important factors for being successful in any program are...

1) Marketing

2) Marketing

3) More Marketing

You absolutely must learn prorper and effective marketing techniques. It will also be highly beneficial to truly believe in the product or service being marketed and have a real passion for it! Proper marketing involes identifying the right audience, contacting them via direct response advertising, converting them into prospects and closing the sale by exchanging a valuable product or service for monetary compensation. This process occurs through a mutually beneficial relationship established over time.

So what this means is that you can be immensely successful in any program you want if you really believe in it and apply effective marketing techniques.

Although marketing is the most critical success component, the individual features of a specific program are of great secondary importance because they will have a strong influence on your marketing strategy and effectiveness.

Consider these hypothetical situations...

Your marketing efforts will be facilitated if you are involved with a company that has an excellent product, superb customer service and an attractive pay plan.

However, if you are working a program where the customer service is good but the pay plan and product is mediocre, you can still be successful with it, but you'll probably have more difficulty in marketing because you may have to find ways to side step or compensate for those negative factors.

I hope you can see my point.

One of the biggest mistakes made by people who promote high-end programs that cost thousands of dollars to join, is not having a secondary program to use as down-sell in case their prospect doesn't have the funds for the high-end program. This results in a lot of wasted leads.

This is not a problem with EDC Gold as I explained earlier because down-sell options have already been put in place!

Instant Income Qualification

One drawback to the Australian 1-Up/2-Up programs is the requirement to pass up sales to become income qualified. Most people would rather be able to make money immediately after joining! Craig Garcia and Michael Corcoran addressed this issue when they launched EDC Gold. Here is how they did it.

EDC Gold: "Do or Do Not - There Is No Try!"

I received the following feedback from a woman by the name of Terri a couple of days ago...

I posted this message here because much can be learned by analyzing it. Before I engage in a phrase by phrase analysis, I will say that this message shows that some people are just not qualified to run a home business. I know there are many people who think the same way as Terri. If you are one of them then you need to stop reading this note right now, forget about running a home business and just focus on being a good employee at your job.

Now, here's what's wrong with Terri's statements...

"I cannot take a chance with the money."

Terri doesn't understand that taking risk is an integral part of business. In fact taking risk is an integral part of life itself! Nothing ventured, nothing gained! It is an unavoidable fact that there are monetary costs associated with running a business. It takes money to make money! If Terri is so financially constrained that she can't invest in a business then she should just keep her money in a savings account. She'll earn next to nothing and she'll never be financially independent but at least her money will be "safe".

If Terri wants to try stuff for free then she should spend all her in a department store fitting room. She can try things to her heart's content! Blouses, skirts, boots etc. However, for Terri to have any chance of success in business she has to be a DOER and forget about getting something for free!

If "FREE" is where your mind-set is then you're probably not making money online just as Terri isn't. Sorry to be harsh but I'd be lying to you if I told you otherwise. Successful people never look for FREE.

Free is for the weak. Free is for the timid. All businesses cost time and money to operate! A properly run business will pay for itself through profits. This is the key!

Terri pays for :

1) The roof over her head

2) The food she puts in her mouth

3) The car that she drives

4) The clothes that she wears

5) Insurance premiums for her medical care

6) Trips to the beautician

7) Electricity to power her home

Get the picture? There are costs associated with everything in life. So it is absolutely insane for her to expect to be given a business for FREE!!!!!

"What do you have to lose if this system is as good as advertised?"

I would lose my time and time is money! Terri's statements clearly show that she does not have the mind-set for business. I'm better off working with someone who can truly appreciate the power of what EDC Gold has to offer rather than wasting my time on a loser like Terri! Terri will never join EDC Gold but that won't stop me from earning $997 commissions and assisting other in doing the same.
